History

In the late 1990's Fabio Pammolli and Massimo Riccaboni begin publishing academic research on networks in bio-pharma industries. It becomes clear that the techniques and large databases they have developed may have commercial applications.
Focus: Economic research, bio-pharma, network dynamics.
In 2002 Pammolli and Riccaboni are joined by Sergio Dompé who provides the venture capital to create ATA S.p.A in order to deliver commercial consulting on these issues.
Focus: Commercial bio-pharma analysis, network dynamics.
ATA begins develop and extend internal software techniques for network data-mining of bio-pharma data in order to facilitate consulting projects. ATA begins providing reports to government and pharma companies in 2003.
Focus: pharma consulting, network dynamics, and specialized software.
It becomes clear that ATA's analytical techniques have broader application, so in 2004 work begins to adapt ATA's approach to a competitive intelligence model.
Focus: Bio-pharma consulting, network dynamics, business intelligence, and DyNet as a specialized tool for building patent and publication networks.
With the realization that the network data-mining software has much wider non-pharma applications, ATA begins development in 2005 of generalizable software architecture for adapting to clients needs and proprietary data.
Focus: Biopharma consulting, software structures for integrating databases, data-mining, and visualization of network dynamics.
